Highland Cattle were chosen for our Croft due to their hardiness and a natural ability to convert poor grazing efficiently. They are good mothers and have an amazing longevity, known sometimes to breed to ages in excess of 18 years. Sunnyside Croft fold consists of 5 Pedigree Highland breeding cows, purchased as yearlings in 2003 from Killochries Fold. Our stock Pedigree Highland Bull, MacCuish 2nd of Clach-na-Gruagach, was purchased from Ardalanish Organic Farm, Isle of Mull. These are our foundation stock purchased from established and accomplished folds. All our stock is registered with the Highland Cattle Society. Occasionally their offspring may be for sale, which will be shown on our livestock for sale page.
